Nairobi United were officially crowned National Super League champions today after edging out MOFA 1-0 at the Jomo Kenyatta Stadium in Kisumu.

The lone goal came in the 65th minute, sealing a season of dominance for the Nairobi-based side, who had already secured promotion to the FKF Premier League weeks earlier.

In Kerugoya, Darajani Gogo pulled off one of the day’s most dramatic wins, beating Fortune Sacco 2-1 at Kianyaga Stadium.

Veron Ombima opened the scoring just before halftime in stoppage time, and although Kibra Karenho equalized for the hosts in the 63rd minute, Ombima completed his brace with a stoppage time winner to hand Gogo a vital three points.

At Thika Stadium, APS Bomet, also already promoted, were held to a goalless draw by a disciplined MCF side, in a match where neither side managed to find a breakthrough.

Naivas FC left it late to beat 3K FC 1-0 at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos, with Mwangi K. netting in the 89th minute. In Luanda, Luanda Villa also secured a late winner to edge Vihiga United 1-0 at Mumboha Grounds, boosting their chances of a strong finish.

Kibera Black Stars were in fine form as they cruised to a 3-0 win over Kisumu All Stars at Jamhuri Complex G on Ngong Road.

The hosts dominated proceedings and were rewarded with three well-taken goals.

Down at the Coast, Migori Youth outclassed SS Assad 4-0 at Ukunda Show Ground, recording the most emphatic win of the day. In Bungoma, Nzoia Sugar and Mombasa United played to a dull 0-0 draw at Sudi Stadium, with neither side able to make the most of their opportunities.
